The initiation and expansion of modern information and communication technologies have caused considerable changes in how, why, when, and where learning can take place. Even teachers and trainers have been affected by these revolutionary changes. Our country is experiencing a transition from traditional educations which is based on studying hard copy books to modern education based on electronic materials and e-learning. According to the findings of various research studies, e-learning provides a range of new resources and facilities for students and professors which improve the quality of learning and teaching in the process of education.

Virtual education (blended learning) is a kind of internet-based learning process in which materials are conveyed in various forms in a networked environment consisting of students, material developers, and professional experts. Through virtual education, learning takes place faster and with less costs. In addition, virtual education realizes the ‘education for all’ target and makes it possible for everyone to participate in learning processes. Furthermore, professors can share extra resources and materials in virtual education classes and appropriately manage the interactions and activities of their students.

That is why ARUMS EDC has made attempts to develop virtual education first at the level of the university and then at the national level so as to improve the overall quality of education and promote the scientific level of students.
